I’m sure there’s a joke I can make here about going in dry, but this is a respectable review site and I’m above low-brow references to anal sex so you’ll get none of that here!
Next up, we have Aurora’s Daily Special Sativa, which is described by them as
Great weed doesn’t need a cute name. We just call ours “Sativa.”

Quality flower with high THC and a great price. Simple as that.
Daily Special is a budget product from Aurora Cannabis Typically, Aurora is on my do not buy list for multiple reasons. They have been known to be absolute garbage to their employees (Source: Indeed.ca) as well as laying off hundreds of employees while they continue to make poor investments, and pay outrageous exec bonuses and were one of Canada’s major medical providers before their race to the rec market and adapting the quantity over quality stock sale mentality.
I purchased this reluctantly, as it was one of the only 7g options available at the store at the time.
I don’t have a lot more to say about the company, other than they are shit – and that’s not even taking their product into consideration so without further adieu lets go face first into some
Budstuff
I’m really not sure how, or where to even start with this clusterfuck of a product.
I guess I’ll start with moisture, how dry was the bud?
This bud was THIRSTY, it’d kill for a drop of moisture – just one drop.
I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but Cannabis should not turn to dust in your fingers
I’m not one of those people that thinks a moisture pack needs to be in every single bag/jar of weed but god damn if this couldn’t have benefited from an Integra, or even a dip in the lake.
How’d it get burned?
We rolled this up for the first smoke, using zig-zag blues because we are still fighting through the pack we had to buy and the burn was awful. It burned evenly, and the ash was white but uh that was just because it was bone dry.
This shit went up like your American cousin playing with fireworks on the fourth of July which is to be expected when your weed is hay.
Speaking of Hay, that’s actually a good representation of what it tasted like too – the flush here was non-existent you could taste everything they pumped into this plant. The dominant terpene was apparently chlorophyll and this checks out with other Aurora products I’ve had in the past and does not appear to be unique to just their budget brands.
Verdict?
The buds themselves, are nightmare fuel – I’d estimate there was about 1 gram or more of shake in the jar but that was not even the most concerning part the buds were colorful and looked like with an experienced grower might have been beautiful plant withstrong purple hues coming off this bud under natural lights.
I’ve often described this budget product by Aurora as the shit they sweep off the floor and this batch holds true to that statement, almost a little too well if I’m being completely honest. It literally looks like shit they swept up, down to the leafy dusty shake.
There is no part of me that would ever suggest you buy this product or really, any product from Aurora at this point. It’s been years since legalization, and they’ve been doing it even longer than that – if they can’t grow a decent plant by now I don’t see this improving anytime soon, if ever.
My recommendation is for Aurora to sell all their assets, and just give up because you are fucking terrible.
