Welcome back to Aurora’s least favorite Cannabis Review Site!
Today we are taking a look at “Amherst Sour Diesel” by Hush Cannabis.
I’m not sure exactly (for obvious reasons) who grew this, but Hush is one of the few unlicensed cannabis retailers that are providing more info on the batch dates, and packaging dates.
While the legal market is pretty standard with it’s packaging dates, this tends to not really mean a whole lot as the package date really and literally refers to the date it was put in that particular package, nothing to do with when it was harvested and how long it’s been sitting in storage, maybe as another brand at one point in time.
So with that said, it’s kind of neat to see a legacy site do this, and in some cases do it better than the almighty regulated and “safe” market as we are lead to believe.
Welcome to The Budstuff
Packaged in two 14g bags to make up the oz – there was no wasted space in the package and the bags were on point as far as weight is concerned. The buds contained within were a mix of medium to large buds, the bud featured most in these photos came in at just under 2.5g itself.
The buds were frosty, and when pressed between my fingers they didn’t crumble, and my fingers were left just a little bit sticky afterward so to me, and my completely unscientific test I’d say the moisture content was on point.
Did you smell something?
The nose knows on this one, and while I’ve never had the Amherst variety of Sour Diesel I am very familiar with Sour D – and this hits all the right notes out of the bags. If you were packing this one up for the road, and are concerned about weed smell it may not be the best travel bud for you, otherwise, if you like getting high on weed then it’s probably a good travel bud, or work bud, or just pre-bud buds.
How’d it get burned?
It’s been a mixed bag on how we’ve ingested it? consumed? inhaled?
It’s always combustion, I’ve never used a vape I’ve liked and I don’t see that changing.
We’ve been smoking them up with Big Bark rolling papers, and a bong.
It’s a good clean, and even burn – couldn’t get a Canoe naturally with this bag.
It’s very much a part of the #WhiteAshGang.
Alright, so if I was going on first opinions and reviewing this after the first joint?
It would have been a very different review, at least in this section. It’s been a while but we started talking mad shit on this halfway through the first joint, not because of the taste, or burn or anything. We just weren’t feeling it, so the shit-talking continued into our 2nd joint.
It must have heard us because it came back swinging – I’d say this is the definition of a creeping weed which it’s really been a hot minute since I’ve had one that snuck up on me like this so call us pleasantly surprised by this outcome.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely – I think Hush has with this order proven their price to quality ratio is really fair and the sheer volume of products they offer at a range of prices is exceptional. I find with a lot of unlicensed options, your $99 or less oz’s can become limited so if variety is your spice Hush definitely has you covered.
